Are we excited about this new year or are we excited?! Man, I just thank God we made it. 2020 was a tough year: personally; emotionally in a lot of ways.
It was a year which tested my faith but I thank God I made it through, that my faith is still standing. Isn’t it amazing that God can use tough times to test our faith and bring us through on the other side? We can fear tough time but it’s better to know that through it all God is with us, and that ultimately, in the end, we will be victorious. The end is written in our favour and this too shall pass!
This year, I’ve decided to focus on the word of God and have challenged myself to read, for the first time in my life, the entire Bible – from beginning to the end. I’m posting it here first so please pray for your girl (lol!). God help me. This is not a New Year’s resolution per se… but it’s a decision to focus on God and turn to Him. I’ve got to tell you, it’s only Day 2 but the joy! The joy that’s welling up in my heart even from reading the Scriptures is undeniable. This is not something that I thought I’d experience so I’m enjoying it even more. I recommend it to you… why not take this year to really get deeper with God in the area of His word? You may be surprised at what you find.
I’m not sure what your other resolutions may be but whatever they are, I hope that we all make some time to focus on our spiritual growth and in getting to know God better. I’m two days in and the benefits are already more than I envisioned to His glory alone. And I pray that as we do so, we find our purpose in Christ and experience revival.
