Hey guys! How are we all keeping in this crazy situation?!
Well I hope we’re all keeping well, and doing what we can to make the most out of the situation; whether that be resting or taking the time to catch up on those projects that we’ve been meaning to do and just haven’t managed to get round to.
Personally, this situation reminds me of what God said in Leviticus 25:3-4, we’ve been hearing reports of just how well the world has been recovering during this lockdown and it warms my heart, and baffles me. It just shows that when God asks for something, there’s a reason. In as much as we need rest, our planet also needs rest.
3 For six years sow your fields, and for six years prune your vineyards and gather their crops. 4 But in the seventh year the land is to have a year of sabbath rest, a sabbath to the Lord. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards. Leviticus 25: 3-4 (NIV)
Personally, for me, this season has enabled me to really rest and to regain energy to the point where I feel refreshed, like I haven’t felt for many years. And although it’s been tough, my mum was unfortunately diagnosed with COVID-19, but I still give Him the glory because He didn’t give me a reason to mourn or to be in despair during this time. Instead, He has been teaching me about faith, and about purpose and what I want to do and achieve in my coming years.
I don’t know about you guys, but all I can say is that God has been faithful, and is faithful (!) and like the leper (Luke 17:15), I’m here to say thank you and give him my gratitude for He certainly deserves it all.
And finally guys, remain cheerful, remain hopeful in God, our anchor, and let’s keep our eyes on Him for this too shall pass.
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. Psalm 56:3 (NIV)
