2019: Lessons I’ve learnt

I’m still reeling that ShineALight is one years’ old! Can you believe it?! But as we come to the end of the year, it’s got me thinking that this year has been a long and eventful one. I’ve received many blessings and many wonderful things have come my way however, it seems that these past few months have packed as mean a punch into them, as the first 9 months of this year has been good. However, despite it all, I want to give God all the glory for bringing me through, and for how hard we’re going to R.U.N going forward.

Therefore, without further ado, I’m going straight into what this year has taught me, especially in these last few months:

  1. Your life can change in a matter of weeks. This year has personally taught me that, I’ve gone from being jobless to somehow gaining a job that I still don’t know how I managed to get (lol!).
  1. It’s important to choose who you trust carefully. I’ve learnt that trusting somehow doesn’t negate the fact that you still have to use common sense.
  1. Write down what you want to achieve, even if you think it can’t happen- you may be pleasantly surprised.
  1. No matter what difficulties you go through, God can and will always come through. People will hurt you, and turn the hurt round on you, and may even negate to see their wrong however, God is your vindicator. A scripture that has comforted me in these times is Ecclesiastes 3:11. At the end of the day, everything will be made perfect in its time; even your suffering will eventually work round for your good. God is never late!

And so, guys, I’m taking this time to wish you all a Happy New Year! Thank you for your support so far, I really appreciate it. Let’s look forward to even greater things, and heights, in 2020! See you in the new decade!
