What is growth? What is required for us to grow? Can we do the same things over and over again and keep growing and improving?
One of the things that I believe that God has been revealing to me and teaching me is that out of pain comes growth. What does that mean exactly? It means that the situations today which seem so hard and so impossible can be propellers to our development in the future. So much so that when we look back, we can say wow, thank you God for that issue because I know for a fact that if I hadn’t gone through it that I would not be where I am today,

Please note that I’m not saying that it’s going to be easy or that when we’re going through the situation that we’ll even be able to realise why we’re going through it or that there might even be a particular reason why we go through certain things. However, I believe that through every situation, we have the ability to draw near to God and seek His face and His help through it all, and through this continuous seeking of God we can grow; much like a tree which goes unnoticed for so long, growing the hardship of being planted, developing roots and going through the effort of breaking through the soil surface before growing tall and strong. Life is a perpetual learning curve, but I believe that we can learn key lessons thorough everything we go through if we dare to evaluate ourselves.
Overall, growth is painful but in sincerity, it’s inevitable. If we refuse to grow, we’ll just end up going through the same patterns over and over again. But the beautiful thing is that God has said that he will be with us through everything that we go through, so we don’t have to go through situations. We ought to depend on Him and allow Him to take us through our journey of growth.
Love,
Ope
Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.
And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
